On the hills of rolling dreams
Where the sky and Earth do meet
Send the spire closer to
Pregnant stars who birth at noon
Never shall we feel the cold
Wings of flesh are manifold
Yes, we'll prove as habile
Barren snow turns fertile
Our empire of stolen breath
Lashed, entwined in midnight's rest
Our bodies find a thousand crests
Of no secret we share this nest
Scarlet beats upon our breast
Cries, they fill the ancient steppes
Frozen until we break our fast
Tundras below we split in half
Our empire of stolen breath
Lashed, entwined in midnight's rest
Our bodies find a thousand crests
Of no secret we share this nest

The hunt has ceased and I return to my home and hall
Where the foothills cut through
The scent of ash is plain as day now
Against the moon the dread beasts do howl
Screams and cries fly from the clearing
As if they know that dawn is not nearing
My wife and son and daughter their voices-
Blood filled cries and gored noises
Ruination in absolute form
In the white the torn crimson gore
All my kin broken just before me
I am the soul left after and ending
Against the soul silhouettes are flying
Fleeing from the anguished dying
They head North into the mountains
Blood and fire flow forth like fountains

Mourning Frost

There's hardly a thing to bury, and nothing to carry.
Only scraps from flesh and bone from the ashes of my home.
Innocence lost and purged from her soul,
My daughter so restless, so fragile and pale.
Her flower plucked in a flurry of steel,
She's no more to feel the mountainous gale.
A man shall he rest, for fought so he did
Against those so cruel, so evil and vile.
The heir to my land if past me he lived,
Though now his ashes add more to the pile.
There's nothing left to carry, just sadness to bear,
Like heaving heavy stones that crush mortal bones.
Love did not save she who I gave my life, my wealth, my body and mind,
Nor may I lie with her in the grave
Until those who raped and killed her I find.
Broken, she died in the frostbitten ice,
Like those who now are laid to rest.
A chill unlike any howling night marks the penance for their deaths.

Like lightning carves the skyline and wolves oppress their prey
I strike with primal rage, fine, like night that ends the day.
Drunkards know not of my hate, for see not their flayed skin.
Sanguine the art of their fate, the hollowed folds within.
Cut throat, to wolves below they’re thrown.
Cut throat, so many more to go.
No hope, for those who slaughter know
No hope, crushed under my mighty blows.
Peel back the flesh of my foes, ripped by the valley trees.
Scream down satisfy my woes, on pikes for hours bleed.
Drunkards aware of my hate, feel now their flayed skin.
Flowered corpses horrid fate, folded out from within.
Cut throat, to wolves below they’re thrown.
Cut throat, no more no more to go.
No hope, for those who slaughter know
No hope, crushed under my mighty blow!
